One furniture piece I've always craved but still haven't managed to obtain is an old library card catalog. So I'm green with envy over the technicolor version featured in this house tour on Apartment Therapy: SF. This be a great way to organize all sorts of things, and I love how the owner, Tricia, has inserted different colored labels and placed it next to a dress form.

14Casa, I came upon one a couple of weeks ago that was in excellent condition. They wanted $1000 for it. It looked like this one, but also had a stand made of the same wood, which looked original. I think it would make a great jewelry organizer.
15ohh the days of card catalogs... many an hour i spent learning how to use them only to NEVER USE THEM.. but they'd make great furniture. love it!

20I miss them too! I always thought card catalogues were so awesome, and then just a few years after I learned how to use them, everything switched to online databases. Not nearly as fun or aesthetically pleasing. Alas!

33i've always wanted a card catalogue like that one too!i'd put in greeting cards or other things, but yeah - i need one of those! i have a mini metal card catalogue that i have on a tray table that i put greeting cards and postcards and envelopes in.
