After painting a room, it's a good idea to keep the can around for touch-ups. But you might find that the old paint gets lumpy over time. To get the lumps out, try straining the paint through pantyhose. Just stretch a pair of old tights or hose over a clean, empty paint tin. Then, pour the paint from the old can through the hose and into the new can.

wow thats a good suggestion ..i was painting one of my bedrooms today and that helped out great thats for the tip
1Here's a cool tip I picked up somewhere.
2Before you pour paint into a roller pan, Take a nail and hammer holes in the indentation of the can where the lid would sit. The paint will drain back into the can and it makes a little less mess.
I have tons of paint cans in my garage left over from the previous owners, for touch ups and such. This tip will come in handy! Thanks!
3good tip, thanks
4I've done this before. It really works
