Chances are, you or someone you know has owned an Ikea Billy Bookcase ($59.99 to $79.00) at one time or another. The shelves are perfectly basic, big, and sturdy, and, therefore, wildly popular with bargain-seekers everywhere.
Now, in addition to black, silver, white, and various wood stains, you can get the Billy Bookcase in a black-and-white floral pattern for a mere $59.99. I think it's very adorable and also quite unique. What do you think?

I like how Domino customized this bookcase by painting the back panel a bright color (in their case, lime green).
1i feel like it's a little cluttered and has got too much going on!
2i like the idea of a patterned bookcase, but not necessarily that pattern. also, it gives the impression of uniqueness... but it's ikea, so everyone else will be "unique" too. (don't get me wrong, i LOVE ikea)
3This would be cute in a dorm room or college apartment
4I agree with cassedy04...i like the idea but not this pattern---too busy
5I think it is very busy and I wonder would look like once you actually put books and things on it.
6Cute, but I don't like the all-over floral. Maybe if only the shelves or backdrop were, but not the entire thing.
7This pattern is a bit much for me. And apparently I am not the only one.
I would
prefer a simple bookcase where the books are the stars. But, hey, that's just me.
8NOT MY STYLE, BUT WE ALL KNOW IKEA HAS GREAT FURNITURE
9WE NEED A STORE IN VEGAS!!!!!!
Ikea has some really nice bookcases. I prefer their cases with the glass doors. still decently priced, too.
10I would like this in a slightly different way, maybe just the pattern on the back etc. Overall its too much even for a black and white lover such as myself.
11It's cute, but I'd probably go for a solid colored one myself. I think it would be great for a high school or college student, though.
12I should clarify -- the bookcase that Domino customized was a solid white one.
I agree this pattern is a bit too busy.
13It's cute for college..... I had a gray one ~~ but it's been donated to the SA....since it really doesn't fit in with "adult" decor =)
14Seems I"m not the only one "glued" to my new IKEA catalog???
15... This new Billy case definitely caught my eye. But I agree with Memorie... having the pattern all over is a bit much.....
Cute, but I'm not a fan of the pattern. Plus, all my books would cover it anyway!
16I love these bookshelves, and I love prints, but I feel like this combination would give me a headache. I want to see my books when I look on she shelves! Maybe that black and white pattern for wall-paper behind the booksheves!
17I like it, but it's a bit too much. I would prefer just the back patterned with solid black or white shelves.
18What a great bargain. Perfect for college students.
19don't like it.
20Yeah, the pattern may be busy, but if it's busting full of books, half the pattern will be covered up anyway. I like it.
21what i love about the ikea book case, i throw them out and buy a new one when i move.
22what i love about the ikea book case, i throw them out and buy a new one when i move.
23This bookshelf is cute.
24i think they have some new ones with red inside the bookshelf too.
25it's a bit too busy for my liking :/
26i agree with cassedy04, too, but i think that once it's got the books on it, it won't look AS busy. ...or possibly it could look busier with all the different book spines. great way to jazz up a definitely classic, though. but definitely agree with cassedy04 about the 'unique'/not really so unique thing. I, too, love ikea, but i don't buy it if i want something to differentiate my decor from others!
