Anyone who has been to Graceland knows that the decor is inspiring in its own way. So in honor of the 30th anniversary of the King's death, I thought I'd feature Presley's famous TV room as today's Midday Muse. The navy-and-yellow room, which looks even cooler in person, includes several TV tuned to different channels and a delightful ceramic monkey statue.

the king of rock and roll and a style guru too!
wow. just wow. that's a busy room...
yuck
The monkey statue creeps me out.
It looks like a tribute to Michigan.
That's such a cool room! I'd love to do something like that for a basement TV room or a rec room. It just looks so comfy.
i don't like the colour combination.
I would not like to be in this room for more than 10 seconds. I will puke.
i wanna go to graceland
oh gol i've been there. elvis's taste was veryyyyy tacky and gaudy (obviously look @ his costumes!)
That's my favorite room at Graceland! (I've been twice. I'm not a huge Elvis fan, but the kitschy side of me really loves Graceland.) Anyone with interest in interior design really needs to make the trip to Graceland. The rooms are so over-the-top but really streamlined in a strange way, especially since the house itself it relatively small compared to what we think of as a big house today.
yeah graceland is pretty much the world's tackiest house. lol
The room is pretty cool even if it's Michigan's colors (I'm from Ohio big rivals lol). Although the monkey is kinda putting me off, monkeys seriously creep me out after some childhood encounters with a creepy moving monkey doll in my grandmas basement.
That looks really comfy
Absolutely hate this hideous room....I've never been a fan of that dead drug addict or his tastless decorating!!!!!!
ew! but it IS coordinated, i guess. if there's an art to tackiness, then, i guess this is great. *cough*
Everybody deserves to be forgiven...
I was in Graceland for Elvis Week, took the tour Friday. This is the ugliest, tackiest room in the place. The "Jungle Room" is pretty tame by comparison...
