Having lived in a studio apartment with a Murphy bed, I must say there is something very satisfying about neatly folding up the mattress and shutting the doors when you need more space or when guests arrive. This Inova Table Bed takes the idea a step of further, transforming into a pull-down table when the bed is put away.
Available in twin to king sizes, the freestanding piece would be great in a studio apartment — instant dining room! — or in a guest room that doubles as an office. My favorite little touch is the shelf behind the bed and the space for hanging artwork. What do you guys think?

This is so cool. I love it for a guest room that doubles as an office. How neat!
How Much? The price is not on the Inova site.
kinda reminds me of being in an RV
Genius.
That's a pretty cool...but I wonder how well the bed is being held up when it's down...doesn't look very strong...

how completely brillant! i love it! i think no home can have to many beds. one never knows!
Yeah Jeng112, I couldn't find the price either, but this place sells it so maybe you can inquire:h ttp://www.studiomehler.com/
I love this for a guest room! I wouldn't want to use it in a studio though. Who likes making their beds, let alone folding it up everyday.
I don't like the idea at all. Icky.
Such a cool idea for small spaces . it works when you have a very small space and if you've got company, this is a no-brainer
I love the added self and artwork area. I seriously considering this for our guest room.
I LOVE IT! I agree; this would be perfect for a home office/guest bedroom.
That would be nice for a studio
Brilliant! The murphy bed has a quaint charm to it in the right space and this is the ultimate space saver!
For an office, maybe. But I wouldn't want to sleep in the exact same place that I eat though.
Awesome idea. This suits well for NYC apartments.
This would be perfect for a studio apt. in NYC
wow this is perfect! This would go great in my mother's new house.. she is planning a huge renovation with lots of rooms and beds for visiting daughters with husbands and kids, etc. This would be perfect!
this would have been so useful in my 300 sqf apartment. (luckily i've since moved, and have a blissful 1000 to roll around in)
wow this is pretty awesome for a guest room/office
This is really great for small spaces.
Great design.
Cool!
What a great idea for a small space.
I like the concept but wouldn't want to eat and sleep on the same piece.
This would be a great guest bed. I would use the table for sewing or crafting, tho. I would hate to get up in the morning and step on crumbs.
I think that this is great!
great use of a small space! i like the colour a lot as well.
this would have been really awesome in the tiny apartment i lived in back in the day. i also love that it's functional, but still like, beautiful.
Very cool!
I like it! esp for small city apts...
I wanna live in the houses in the photos on that inova site! LMAO
I saw this exact bed on one of those room makeover shows! It's pretty cool for a guest room/office I think.
I saw this bed used on tv in a guest bedroom/basement. It is wonderfully function and I would easily put it in my house.
Might be nice for my guest room that I want for other purposes as well. It only needs to be a guest room a couple times a year....this might work...
whoa. this is so cool! I agree with the other commenters who wouldn't use this on a day-to-day or personal basis, except for guests or for small living spaces. very cool =)
its okay.
That is such an awesome idea. Way better than futon/bed.
We used to have this same thing for our Barbies when we were little! Too fun...

Love this!!
Love it! This one from Skymall is really cool too! It's a table and storage.
The hutch top showcases your favorite china, accessories, and art objects, while the buffet base stores your linens, silver, and oversize serving pieces. To make entertaining easier than ever, the buffet features a pull-out table. Solid birch and birch veneer.

If I lived in a small space I would love to have that. I've been wanting to create my own, but I'm not handy enough with the tools yet.
