While the typography trend continues to truck along, a new trend of decorating with letters, often consonants and syllables from vintage signs, has arisen. Personally, I find it kind of cheesy to decorate with initials — a big "C.S." on my wall is just not my style. But I'd happily put a less self-referential letter in my home if it were eye-catching like this vibrant red T. Putting a letter in your home, even if it doesn't mean anything to you, is a great way to celebrate all of the serifs, shapes, and ligatures that make typography such an interesting art. Do you decorate with letters?

3oh letters are so my thing...i adore letters on everything from small to large. i was actually just searching for a new planner with my monogram on it. i am obsessed with personalized stationary, and i have been trying to decide on the perfect alphabet print to hang. if there are letters or words on plates, books, candles, ANYTHING I am drawn to them immediately, i always have been! I try to resist but sometimes i can't. I currently have letters in my bedroom, from anthropologie and office.
4I love my initials!! I have had them on everything for YEARS, especially bedding and stationary. I also have a small blackboard with my first initial at the top that I got from Ballard Design several years ago. I also have two of those canvas carry bags, one with my three initials and one with my first name!! I love them. The mug I have my tea in everyday has my first initial and I have an initial on my bulletin board. It is most certainly NOT a "new" trend; it's been around for decades and personally I hope it stays around forever. I don't however, like the * and & trend. So not personal and who cares???
