Ah, garden gnomes. What's not to love about these enduringly kitschy lawn ornaments? Thanks to a renewed pop-culture presence in Travelocity ads and the movie Amelie, garden gnomes have made a comeback in recent years, and in this latest movement, they're coming indoors as a part of playful home decor.
Even the snooty side of design is getting into gnomes: Check out this Philipe Starck for Kartell Gnome Stool ($321). There are even more fun finds below; just click on the photos to view.

They scare me a bit like clowns.
haha, how whimsical!
CREEPY!
*Amelie* was great, but I cannot see having a gnome in my yard or in my house. I am willing to be edgy, but this is a little too kitschy for my taste. Maybe as a gag gift if the $321 table was marked down to $20 or something.
Ack!! I don't know about those; they remind me of that cartoon from back in the day that was maybe on Nick about David the Gnome, I think his name was. Weird.
Gnomes are major creepsters... how are the even considered decoration??
Creepy
too expensive, but it is whimsical and kooky!
i love gnomes!
but i prob wouldn't have one in the house...
I actually just bought that for the sun room in my house! I thought he was cute!
Not in my house, they don't!
Garden Gnomes scare me.
Uh, not cute.
Gnomes creep me out....not for me.
reminds me of Meet The Barkers.. not into the gnomes..
I hate Garden Gnomes. They scare the crap out of me and are really ugly.
I like the gnome soap.
not me at all... have a thing about stuff with faces!
Ha ha ha, some of those things are really cute! I like the soap and the Gnome & Garden Gnovelty kit.
OK - I see a lot of people dislike garden gnomes. My husband and I on the other hand love them, we invited our first garden gnome, Willard to stay with us about 3 years ago and he has happily lived in our kitchen since.
The only problem I have with gnomes in today's market is that a good portion of them are made of resin and that is just not the real deal to me.
i totally want to buy a gnome to sit by my front door when my new house is done !!
gnomes were ruined for me by travelocity
also, um, how many times have we said the word gnome on this page - such a weird word!!!!
Weird, I agree that they are creepy. I don't know if I even like them to be outside my house.

If you like gnomes, Kimmel Gnomes (http://www.kimmelgnomes.com/) have some really amazing little gnomes. Pricey but worth it for the construction and details. We've given these as gifts before and they always go over well.
Oh, it's bad luck to keep a garden gnome inside your house, didn't you know that??
Totally LOVE gnomes!!!
I Have been decorating with gnomes since i was a kid, in Norway there are alot of Gnome stories. I give gnomes to friends all the time.
