From Angelina and Brad Pitt to Nicolas Cage,
New Orleans is becoming a popular place for celebs to settle, the latest transfers being Sandra Bullock and Jesse James. The pair quietly
snatched up a historic Victorian home in New Orleans's Garden District for $2.25 million back in June. The 6,615-square-foot, five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home, known as the Koch-Mays house, was built sometime between 1860 and 1870.

You know, this is great and all, but I have to say that I'm really saddened by the fact that after four years after Katrina, more than 125,000 New Orleans' residents have not been able to return home. While the fear of another Katrina or emotional distancing have left many not wanting to return, the reality is that post-Katrina rents are exorbitantly steep, many homes that were rented are now being renovated and sold at prices only the upper class/wealthy can afford, and very little social programming to assist those who were displaced by Katrina exist...just getting a little tired of the celebrities and the rich who get to enjoy this beautiful city that was created by so many who no longer can afford to live there.
