If you're looking to get away from it all, Feather Down Farm Days offers family getaways on beautiful US working farms, and its sister sites offer the same opportunities in Europe. So far, there are only three farms on the US list, including two in New York and one in Illinois, but I have a feeling that number will rise in the near future. I love the idea of getting away from civilization and spending a few days in the great outdoors, living in one of these cool tents, gardening, and gathering eggs. What about you?

4therefor my vacation is nearly always a city break!
YES! I have fond memories of working on my Uncles farm in the Summer when I was younger and I'd gladly take a farm vacation now!!
5Totally. Too bad no one I know would want to, haa haa!
6If I can't hear traffic all night, I can't sleep!!! I am definitely not a farm girl!! Several years ago I thought a weekend at a farm would be nice and relaxing. So, three friends and I drove up to a lovely farm about 100 miles from where we lived. We were supposed to stay three nights but after the first night I begged to go home. My friends laughed at me because they wanted to stay. I insisted on being driven to the Greyhound station and I rode the bus back home!!! I couldn't wait to get home!!
