I would love this Stolzl Plate 160 Rug ($5,000) based on its looks alone, but the fact that it has a great story behind it makes it so much cooler. The design is based on artwork originally done on paper in the 1920s by Gunta Stölzl, one of the few women to teach at the prestigious Bauhaus school. Design Within Reach didn't feel the designer was getting the recognition she deserved, so the retailer is resurrecting her work in rugs. DWR is also selling another Stölzl design, the Stolzl Plate 106 Rug, for $5,800.

that looks sooooo cool!
I love that a lot, but it reminds me of Tetris for some reason
hehe it is very tetris-esque. I love it!
I really love how the rug is displayed on the wall as art. It adds so much texture to a plain wall.
Not my type .
I like it.
For $5000, I'd be displaying it on a wall too!
love it - i love squares in design.
I don't like the looks of this one at all.
