I was really surprised to discover that Brocade Home is owned by Restoration Hardware, because the online store and catalog feels more like a boutique than a chain store. Balancing bold statement pieces with delicate feminine detailing, Brocade furniture and accessories are definitely on the traditional side and almost — almost —bordering on stuffy. Think plush jacquard, velvet upholstery, etched glass, and curved-back wooden frame furniture.

But while I wouldn't want to outfit an entire room in Brocade products, just a few pieces would add some unexpected old-school style to an otherwise contemporary room. I particularly like Brocade's use of pastel tones that aren't prissy and the fact that the products look far richer than they cost. Check out some of my picks from the store when you read more
