Every day on CasaSugar, I'll feature a photo I'm calling the Midday Muse to give you a little lunchtime inspiration.
Today, let's admire the tree-lined teal wall featured in the master suite of the 2007 San Francisco Decorator Showcase. I love the way the color and the tree-branch stencil add a playful twist to an otherwise formal bedroom.

I adore all kinds of turquoise related colours. This one is just amazing
Nice colors! I think I could do that as an accent wall, but probably not a whole room.
I like the touches of orange in the room as well.
Oh I LOVE this bedroom!!! I am stuck in a little apartment and can't really decorate the way I want so I can't wait until I am able to do something like this! I especially love the color of the walls... beautiful!!!!
that's so pretty! i love the colors!
wow thats a beautiful room!
Turquoise is one of my favorite colors and I use it often as an accent color. I realize that this is a design showcase, however, I do not like it's use in this bedroom, as it does not create a sense of calm and sanctuary that should be present in a bedroom.
this is gorgeous!
i LOVE the color...but the zebra stripes on the seats at the end of the bed don't really do it for me.
I would love to do this to my wall in my bedroom, but my walls are so textured it would be a mess. Sigh. When I move in to my mansion after I win the lottery I might think about doing this in one of my many rooms
THis is a wonderful bedroom, it looks like a grand playroom for a grown up princess!
I love the wall behind the bed along with the color combination of turquoise with white and orange pops. The zebra chairs make it a bit much for me, but I admire the daring of the designer.
That is absolutely stunning.
This is a beautiful room! I saved it to my favorites.
This is a beautiful room! I saved it to my favorites.
Ick. Anything but teal. I just never liked it, especially a deep sea-green teal. If that was a hotel room I'd ask for another room... *shrug*
It has a little too much whimsy for my taste, but the designer did an excellent job carrying out a theme. I can see how it would be very relaxing for the right person. I do think the bed linens are lovely.
Pretty =)
teal and white together has a good clean feel to it.
I don't feel it. The energy is erratic, unstable - I couldn't find peace in this room.
I wish this was my room... its kind of my feel... I have a brown and teal bedspread with a white tree branch design on it (ikea!)... but this is like my idea to the next level. Except I can't have the orange accents bc my college's rival colors are orange and blue!
i love teal and turquoise but this is a little too much for me. i like my walls classic so the room won't look so dated but i'd totally add lots of turquoise accessories.
I love the overall design of the room, but I'm not feeling the turquoise or the orange color theme. I think this room would have been better with colors that aren't so vibrant. However, I love the white tree design on the wall. That is something I would like done for my room.
The colors are fun!
That's a very lovely room.
I love this room CasaSugar!!! it's so unique and creative, colors are fab.! hmm...I will be moving at beg. of next year and this will def. will help inspire me for design style I want to implement in my place
Not my type in a bedroom. My bedroom should be an oasis of relaxation and the tree graphics on the wall is kinda disturbing. Also , I don't like traditional furniture --this reminds me of kingly palaces in the Victoria era mixed with forest-y ambiance----confusing.
time for a room makeover...
Ooh, I LOVE this palette!!
um, I'm not a fan of the orange window dressings or the zebra prints, but other than that its beautiful
I love all of the splashes of orange!
this room looks amazing!
anybody know where i can get some x base stools similar to the ones seen at the end of the bed here?
jonathan adler has some that are a bit out of my price range (750 each). ballard designs has some that fit my budget much better but they're just a bit too tall.
any other sources for these anyone out there knows of?
That's a lot of teal. It might work in person, though.
I love this room. The colors are so amazing.
I have to disagree with some of the comments, I think that this room can be very relaxing it has an aquatic feel and what is more relaxing than the ocean/water. I absolutely love this room and I think that it would be fun to put together. Kudos to the artist, very BRIGHT idea (pun intended)!
Ohhh, this rooms is so cool. I'm not if I could live in it every day though.
Even w/ the aquatic feel it's not relaxing because "aquatic" doesn't connote foresty- tree branches that float around my headboard w/ bird prints on the wall. Relaxing for me is "tranquil", "serene" and "sleep-inducing" ---more of Zen-like. That's my ideal sleep haven
I adore this room
I REALLY like this!
the orange and white elements in this room remind me of a duvet and rug from Ikea
OMG I love the room.
Oh my god. I think I just found my dream bedroom, minus the not-so-pretty stools at the end of the bed. Other than that, spot on!
Very different and unique
Gorgeous. I love trees and birds motifs and teals are some of my favorite colors.
gorgeous
I love it...though I'm not sure my fiance would like this in our room!
SO cute!! I love the color of the walls and the way it contrasts with the orange! I am so excited about Midday Muse because I can always use fresh ideas & color schemes.
I love it! It's a little edgy, whimsical and still is elegant.
i am in love with this room.
absolutely in love.
