Following up on his jewelry collection for Tiffany & Co., famed architect Frank Gehry has created a line of vases for one of the world's best-known jewelers.
Gehry is definitely one of those figures that people either love or hate, and I'm guessing the Frank Gehry collection at Tiffany & Co. will be just as polarizing. Currently, the line includes four vases that echo Gehry's signature deconstructed or "crumpled" building style. Of course, I happen to love the most expensive piece in the line, the Crinkly Vase ( $2,700, at right). The foot-tall vessel is made from hand-blown Venetian glass, so each one is unique.
The other vases are made from bone china and priced between $125 to $195. I'm not crazy about the Torque Vase (below, at right), but I absolutely love the Rock Vase (center). Plus, they're perfectly priced to give as wedding gifts. What do you guys think?

the frank gehry one is VERY cool
The "crinkly" vase is pretty nifty, but I am not feeling the others at all. I guess they aren't my style.
im with you casa on loving the crinkly one. Its so chic. The white ones are ok but I just love the clear crystal.
I like the Torque one, but I wish it was in crystal as well.
You have good taste, CasaSugar. I love the Crinkley Vase as well. I agree they would make great wedding gifts as well. It's very original.
I like the Crinkly one too but not any of the china ones
I wish more of his designs were done in crystal.
wow i love them all, esp the crystal one... too bad i'm nowhere near having the extra spending money!!
i LOVE the crystal one...it reminds me of rock candy! it'd be gorgeous with one color bloom cut right to the top of the vase....maybe bright pink roses.
I love the glass vase... I checked out the jewelry line the Elsa Peretti line is so much nicer in my opinion. Frank Gehry should stick to buildings (and vases, which are pretty cool) -- brilliant architect! So-so jewelry designer
I have always been intrigued by Frank Gehry's architecture and his use of form and materials. I do not like the stark whiteness of the china vases at all, however, the shape and form of these vases I can appreciate as they are typical Gehry. I would have liked them much better if they had been constructed of silver or high grade pewter instead.
The crinkly vase I like, although I would not have recognized it as a Gehry piece. It reminds me of ice and I would love to see it with a simple arrangement of white lilies and nothing else.

These are very, VERY cool looking - I love them!
Ohhh I like the clear crystal one ... it looks like ice!!!
i loved the clear crystal one! It´s gorgeous!
Definitely should have registered at Tiffany's! I love the crinkly vase. It's beautiful, mysterious, and a little bit funky.
Those vases are so beautiful! I love the crinkly vase.
I like the Torque Vase but damn that's expensive...
Umm. They're nice, but a little lumpy for my taste. I like cleaner lines for vases.
like his architecture but not these vases.
I haven't like Gehry since he designed a hideous "crumpled" multi-colored structure downtown, but I have to say that Tiffany vase is beautiful.
Oh WOW; these are very artsy. I like them.
The clear one is the best... I want one!
Frank Gehry is such a sellout.
love THAT glass vase
the others are okay i guess, but that glass one is AMAZING!!
I love the crystal crinkly vase. I was hoping it'd be affordable, but $2700? YIKES! My cats would totally knock it over.
I like them!
love the gehry vase
...very creative
I like the glass one a lot.
The clear one is beautiful
Looks like something the made might accidentally throw away.
Wait a minute... I don't have a maid! That explains a lot of things -- including why I'm not going to drop money on these items!
We own the small white rock vase. It is so beautiful from each complex view. We love it!
I love the crinkly vase and hated the white ones. They just looked cheap to me. However I'm pretty sure theres no way I could talk my husband into spending three months of our house payments on a vase... no matter how stunning it is.
In a word..Exquisite. I love the crinkly vase.
