When it comes to floral arrangements, i rarely think about buying cut orchids. My potted orchids usually last for months (and I've been lucky enough to have one blooming continuously for 16 months!). Still, the blooms are absolutely gorgeous, and I can see the appeal of cut orchids.

I LOVE orchids. Sexual connotations aside, they're just a lovely and interesting shape.
My mom has tons of real ones, and I have a few fakes at my apartment (GOOD fakes though), but I've never done much with cut orchids. If I've got real flowers, I'd prefer them to be plants, not just cut ones that die so quickly.
1No...I decorate with real orchids. If they're happy and healthy, they bloom for weeks. They're actually the only plants (other than a little violet plant) that I've managed not to kill.
2And when I say real I mean live orchid plants.
3Nope. I can't have orchids as I'm highly allergic to their fragrance. It's a hospital visit waiting to happen. I'll admire them from afar.
4ellenora- that's unlucky!
)
5we have two orchids in our lounge- both pink.
i think they're amazing
(lol @ sexual connotations aside
I keep my two orchid plants potted. Otherwise I decorate with white peonies, gladioli or freesia's.
6I would love to have potted orchids, but I'm a little scared. I've inherited my mom's black-thumb-of-death!
7No. I have a naughty cat that eats houseplants. I'm afraid he might get poisoned.
