Cool Idea: Hanging Furniture For Your Home
When furnishing this year's Hampton Designer Showhouse, Manhattan-based interior designer Brad Ford made the unusual, and delightful, decision to replace sofas with porch swings. Inspired by Ford's out-of-the-box decision, I decided to check out some other hanging furniture that would look great on the inside of your home. While some of the choices are classics, others are definitely a bit more unusual. In every case, though, these hanging chairs and swings add an element of whimsy and excitement to the rooms in which they are placed.

What a cool roundup! I really love this idea. I had a friend in high school whose bed was suspended from the ceiling of her loft, and I just thought it was the coolest thing ever.
