There's nothing like a curious agapanthus peering its head out of your white picket fence on a warm Summer day. A white picket fence may be uninspired, but it's still a classic, like an L.L. Bean bag or a pair of canvas sneaks. You almost can't go wrong with one.

You shouldn't list as no sireee. Because it makes it sound like I don't like them. When infact I would love to have one, but I got out voted when we shopped for a fence!
1My new house has a 6' white picket fence - all of the houses in the neighborhood do. We close on the 18th and are very excited but we're hoping that it's not to "Pleasantville" with all of those matching fences around.
Do they drink beer in the garages in neighborhoods like that? I guess we'll see.
2No reason for a fence where I live, I live in the woods. The only "fence" we have are stone walls that have been here for hundreds of years.
