On an episode from this past season of 30 Rock, Jack Donaghy, Vice President of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming at GE, announces the release of a new product: a pocket microwave oven. Luckily, that microwave is still the stuff of TV dreams. Since many of us are living with a dirty microwave oven in our homes, I can't imagine how dirty a "pocket" microwave oven might become. So, quick, no cheating! Is it clean or not?

It's not sparkling clean...but clean enough until I scrub it out with baking soda. The thing is, it's mounted near the sink, but on part of the cabinet, so it's kind of hard to reach and it get super clean.
1We've been keeping it clean lately. I can thank my oldest daughter for that, she really hates a dirty microwave. (but don't look in her room LOL).

The only reason why mine isn't clean is because I live with roommates who feel as though they don't have to clean anything, and I'm sick of being the unofficial maid. This is unfortunate because the microwave was brand new and nice and clean a few months ago, and now it's rather pitiful...
5Yes. I clean it almost every day. I don't like a dirty microwave either.

10Mines dirty, i heated up spaghetti and meatballs last night and the sauce got everywhere. I closed the door when i was done and forgot about it until just now

12Yes mine is clean, if you use paper towels over your food it won't make such a mess when it pops. I hate it when food gets on the roof of the microwave, its very hard to clean! My oven on the other hand needs a good cleaning!
13A bowl of water with some lemon slices on high power for a minute or two loosens up the grease and leaves it smelling lovely!
