I'd venture to guess that all of us have a bed and bedside table in our bedrooms. But, seating isn't always a given. If your bed is the only place to sit in your room, it's easy to simply use the room for sleeping. But a sofa or set of chairs in your bedroom gives you a place to read or get work done while still having privacy. Unfortunately, many of us who do have bedroom seating wind up using it as a place to toss our clothes. How about you?

1We have our desk in our room and my art table in here as well. No sofa or comfy chairs though. We have had them in previous bedrooms, just not this one.
2No, I wish. My husband insisted on a cal king bed, and because I want a spacious, non-crowded room, there is no room for a seating area.

5This is so funny...I live in a building built in the 1920's, and the entryway from the front door to the (massive) living room is at such a sharp angle and adornment that my FULL SIZED couch won't fit anywhere except my bedroom! So, next to my pretty queen bed is a pretty couch.
Luckily, the room is big enough that it's not a problem. And when I tell people they can stay over, but that they have to crash on the couch, we all get a chuckle.

i wish my room was big enough for an arm chair or a chaise for example. i have a chair at my dressing table but i clicked 'no' as i don't think this counts. even though it is a gorgeous one from laura ashley with buttons down the back
i'd love to have a big bedroom with a huge bay window so i could have window seats or a chair/sofa/chaise in the window and watch the world go by
I love in the Gilmore Girls when Lorelai remodels her bedroom and has an arm chair and footstool in the room- looks awesome.
