After I rearranged my bedroom recently, a friend of mine said with a wink, "Oh, so the mirror's facing the bed." I hadn't even thought about that arrangement until she called it out. While my boudoir is a bit too small to try to keep the bed out of full-length mirror's view, there are many couples who find it advantageous to "reflect" on events in this room. What's your take?

Buh nuh nuh nuh nuuuuuuuh.... ohhhh yeah. Cue the Barry White.
I don't mind a mirror here and there, but those closet door mirrors — the ones that take up a whole wall — make me think Penthouse Forum. Not for me.
1It depends on the room and the placement. I have had rooms where I used mirrors to reflect light to make them look bigger and eneded up having one face the bed. I have also had rooms that are teeny tiny so no matter where the mirror was it was facing the bed.
2Now if you have a mirror on the ceiling, thats a different story entirely...
I have a full length mirror on the inside of my closet door, which i leave open. It's sort of...parallel to the bed? lol not really facing it, but mine is like yours I think. My tiny apartment bedroom, theres nowhere to put the bed where you can't see your reflections. The boyfriend loves it.
3wowza. i feel dirty now. i have a mirror facing my bed but it isn't that kind. whatever floats your boat, i guess kclulu..i'm with you: mirror in room = ok, mirror on ceiling = wowza.
4its 'bad feng shui' i thought...
5Creepy, I wouldn't like it. I also thought there was some feng shui thing about not having a mirror directly facing the bed. In any case, I do have a mirror, but it's definitely not facing the bed. So definitely no chance of watching the action as it happens.
6this is really bad feng shui.... culturally I grew up knowing this is a no-no.. you can lose your soul.
7I have one that's above my dresser on a side of the bed but not one facing. It depends on the person, the size and style of the mirror and the room I think. I'm agreeing with bellasugar here.
8My bed is right in front of our dresser with mirror...we dont mind it.
9Nothing worse than mirrored closet doors that face the bed. Hated that apartment.
10I've always wanted a 'fun mirror' for laughs. It's never occured to me to get one for the bedroom. I know it could add or diminish depending.
11I don't care about the mirrors but having a fire place in the bedroom would be cozy and sexy!
12the bedroom in this picture is to die for
i don't think that having a mirror facing the bed is smutty- sometimes it's the only possible place to have it. especially in the bedroom pictured, as having a mirror above the fireplace is just standard behaviour!
it's not like having a mirror on the ceiling! now that would be something to debate
i agree i hate those all mirrored wardrobes which take up the length of the room. but i have a mirror on one of my wardrobe doors exactly for the reason mentioned above by Angela, as you have the tendency to leave the door open and it looks untidy
13I have a book about feng shui and it says its not good to have a mirror in front of the bed. And your feet pointed to the door while you sleep. My bedroom is weirdly shaped so I have no choice in both of these.
14damn it i have a mirror closet next to my bed and its room length oopss ok, it was on sale so i don't mind about feng shui or whatever just regret that every morning i have to see me just awakened lol
15Yeah, it's bad feng shui to have a mirror in the bedroom if it's located so that when you're in bed you'll see yourself. I guess that's mostly because it might freak you out if you wake up in the middle of the night and see yourself.
