To get the most bang for your buck visually, Nick says to "get the big basics at Ikea or West Elm, then save for a pricier or more unusual rug or mirror or pillows. Something you've had your heart set on for a long time." For statement-making rugs, try the Rug Company or Madeline Weinrib.
