As much as we may have been told not to, sometimes it's hard to avoid basking in the warmth of a sunny day. Whether you do it on a blanket in your backyard or from a comfy lounge chair, many of us still catch some rays around our homes.

I do, but that's because we have a swimming pool and lounge chairs. In general though, I tan when playing tennis or running outside.
1I don't understand this anti-sun business. The sun is so helpful for skin conditions (rashes and such) plus it builds vitamin D in your system. Here is an article if you need to justify it to yourself. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0NAH/is_/ai_85174712/
2I avoid the sun for the most part. I do get enough sun to help produce the amount of Vitamin D I need everyday.
katejilogan--some of this anti-sun craze comes from the increase in skin cancer (particularly melanoma) over the past two decades. I am at a very high risk for skin cancer so I take care to wear just enough sun screen that my skin is safe yet I can still get my Vitamin D. I'm very pale, yes, but I'm still getting sufficient Vitamin D.
3I just laid out in my backyard yesterday. I didn't stay out for long and made sure to apply my 30 spf, but it was so relaxing!
4i don't lie out for hours and hours, mostly for the daily vitamin d and partly hoping i get a little colour (:
