Fabric hangers, in my mind, conjure up knitting grannies and stale, musty closets in country cottages. But they're actually great for protecting delicate materials like silk, expensive lingerie, and fancy dresses. I personally don't own any, but then again my closet may be in need of a hanger update.

Mostly I use them because they don't leave those annoying shoulder "nipples."
1I prefer using wooden ones, especially if they are the nice smelling cedar ones.
2I use them for my very delicate dresses.
3My mom made some fabric hangers for me as a Christmas gift last year. I use them for silk dresses and for a delicate knitted cardigan.
4My hangers are a big mixture of everything under the sun and date back to WWII I'd imagine
Got the poufy fabric ones, crocheted ones, metal drycleaning ones, plastic ones from the store, some with even the size on them, etc. Some
day when I'm rich and famous I might decide to splurge and get all coordinating hangers, but for now we have enough hangers to last us several lifetimes over (my mom collected them from when
stores would close or people just giving them away and such...)
5No but I think they are gorgeous!!
