I iron in the kitchen because there happens to be a fold-out ironing board closet there. But, if I had my way, I'd iron in my bedroom . . . or my walk-in closet. I have a friend who irons on the floor of her living room. And of course, there are those with a dedicated "laundry room." How about you?

Dress for Less
Ironing is the one chore i hate with a passion- I avoid it at all costs
I'm with you, laurelm. I iron only when it is absolutely necessary. I don't even own an ironing board.
I don't iron and luckily I am able to dress really casually here on Maui (low-key capital of the US), so I don't own any clothes that require it. It's one of the few things I just *won't* do. Matching socks and peeling potatoes are another. If my husband wants ironed clothes, paired socks or no skins in his mashed potatoes, he knows he has to do it!
i don't
I hate ironing. I have to go into my basement to do it. I avoid it at all costs. So, I'm with the others.
I don't *hate* ironing, but, uh, I also don't do it. I seem to have a wardrobe that doesn't wrinkle! I do own an iron, for emergencies, but I'm not entirely sure where it is....
only in my nightmares.
umm, i live in a small apt in nyc, so the laundry room is in the basement and is shared with the rest of the tenants. besides, i don't iron. i steam.
I wish I didn't have to iron, but sometimes I just have to. Especially since my husband somehow just can't figure it out. It scares him, and even when he tries he just can't quite get it right. Kinda cute, except that means I have to do all the ironing.
Thank goodness for the fluff cycle on my dryer.
Hate ironing, I steam. But I do when I sew, my sewing machine is in he library so that is where I iron, but ironing seems is completely different than ironing an already sewn together piece of clothing.
I don't iron ever. I'd rather look wrinkled.
the only thing i iron is my hair... yes, that's why i own a clothes iron. the irons made for hair aren't made for hair like mine lol
I used to iron, then i got sick of it and invested in a steamer. The best thing i ever did.
In the bathroom.
I also iron on my living room floor. Not that I iron very frequently...
Does anybody know of a good, small, reasonably priced steamer? I start my first corporate job next week and I will go insane if I have to iron every day.
Yes, please - any pointers on steamers would be great.
Wow, i'm the only one who likes ironing. My laundry room is in the basement and i find it quiet and relaxing. I can just sort of zone out down there and stop thinking for awhile. My one friend told me the other day that was crazy!
