Richard Hutten's Playing with Tradition Rug for I + I is a cheeky design, blending a traditional Persian style rug with a striped, barcode-like pattern. Both patterns would stand well on their own, but together they make a much more intriguing statement. What do you think?

It is supposed to look like it is a webpage that got stuck loading.. u know and you try to scroll and it "smears"?
That's what it is! Not a "barcode"! (:
1I'd like to see the whole rug before forming an opinion... it's hard to tell with just the small section showing.
2It just seems as though it is an unfinished project. Like the designer never got the design finished in time for the deadline and said, "that was my intention"
3If you've ever seen a handwoven rug on the loom that's half finished, this is what it looks like.
4Interesting. Actually, I find it provocative.
5ELLEHUDSON, that's what I thought of when I saw it! It's awful!
6Hate it.
7I could imagine the concept working on something else.. but not this.
