One of the big reveal moments in I Love You, Man is when Sydney (Jason Segel) shows Peter (Paul Rudd) his man shack. Decked out in leather furniture, a big screen television, Rush albums, and a wall of instruments, it truly is a dude paradise.

While our home doesn't have a man shack, I do sometimes wish there was a man room to accommodate my special someone's dudeness. You know what I mean, ladies — those nights when the music is cranked up to 11 (à la Spinal Tap) or a game of poker is on the agenda. I wouldn't mind the noise and the in-house betting so much if it was in another room (or wing, or house level, for that matter).
Do you have a "man shack" at your casa? Do you think it would improve home relations if you did? Or do you and your better half get along swimmingly while sharing space, no matter what the situation?

my bf says that he definitely needs a "man cave" when we move in together but, you know what, i want my own space too!
1We have a one bedroom loft, so neither of us has any private space.
2I've been told I have fairly masculine taste, so I don't think this would be an issue for me and a SO.
3Hubby is perfectly content hanging out in our room on his computer or reading when he needs some down time. Me, I'd like a separate personal space and when oldest daughter goes to college her room is mine to do just that with it! (she's knows this and she's fine with it
)
4No man cave without the chick parlor... its only fair. I live alone though, so it doesn't really matter...
5Yeah Kimpossible! My mom took over my room three weeks before I even moved out! All my college friends are totally baffled, but I think it looks great!
6He has a man room and I am soooo glad! Although it tends to get really messy and it's the only room I WILL NOT clean. Last night I did keep him company while he tackled the cleaning of it....lets just say it took a while.
7I love it though. I've got the rest of the house and he's got his man room and it work perfectly. I don't need a diva den or anything like that....
*it works perfectly.
8Indigo, that's how I feel, too. The rest of the house is pretty much my decorating taste, and my domain, so I wouldn't need a "diva den" either.
9Hahaha, diva den. I dig it.
10We live in a 600 SF rowhouse ... not a whole lot of room for a man cave
11Our home office is my boyfriend's personal cave. He doesn't make much noise, but he has an odd need to sit and brood over his computer for hours now and then. I'm so glad that he can sit in there and do it, because he's quite the joy-kill when he's in one of his moods.
12We have a cottage out back that, when he gets around to fixing it up, will become my husband's man shack. Since it's not part of the house, I won't be tempted to go in and clean it.
13our entire third floor is referred to as the man cave. Giant tv wall mounted, video game systems, all the stereo equipment plus large speakers, a computer, mini fridge and microwave, couch, coffe table, folding chairs, and game table. I only go up there for football, or sometimes movies! It's awesome
14Hahahahaha too funny.
