Need a project for Earth Day? Here's a great one from Michelle Kaufmann. As she mentions in the video, this recycled towel bathmat project is a perfect activity to do while watching a movie. Instead of using old towels, Michelle also suggests substituting old t-shirts for the main material of the bathmat. Now, if only I can convince the person I live with to give up all those old concert t-shirts for this project . . .

I saw this done on TV with making a big rug out of old bluejeans, too.
1Does it shed a bunch? It seems like it would and that would drive me nuts.

3I think that a great idea. I've heard of people knitting clothes/towels into rugs like that, but the pull through method would make it more plushy!
