This Earth Day, try adding some organic cotton bedding, bath items, or pillows to your home scene. Why organic cotton? Well, it protects the environment by avoiding use of pesticides, which also helps out cotton workers. Since cotton is still picked by hand in many places, cotton workers on organic cotton farms aren't exposed to dangerous pesticides. Consumers also benefit through the use of organic cotton, since it is softer than conventional cotton products. While organic cotton is still more expensive than conventionally grown cotton, the increase in demand is helping to drive prices down.
Organic cotton is also getting a lot more design-savvy. Check out the calm, cool blues of this Kahuna Comforter Set ($345). What will you add to your home scene? Do you have any organic cotton goods in your home now?

Organic cotton is the way to go because it is my understanding that cotton NOT grown that way is very full of chemicals and pesticides. But I have also been hearing a lot about these sheets made from wood Cellulose called “Modal”.
1(if you want to see some info on them go to this link http://www.elegantlinenspc.com/SDH-Bedding.htm)
Has anyone else heard about them or used them?
A friend of mine bought a set, and let me tell you, they are incredibly soft, I have never felt anything like them. So I am thinking that organic cotton may have some competition in the eco friendly world. The company that makes them SDH Linens seems to be very involved with protecting the environment and doing things organically. On the website I mentioned above they tell you about a “Purist” line of sheets that use no chemicals or dyes. So I would be curious to see if anyone else knows about this product. Thanks!
no, i do not have any in my home but thanks for sharing this, very good!
2Woah! I absolutely LOVE that blue! Too bad that comforter is so expensive!
3I love the Amenity duvet cover and sunburst towels but that cover is $$$$.
4that blue in the 1sst picture is stunning!
5I wish I did have some organic cotton at home. I wouldn't call that blue soothing, but electric...but it's great!
