Blech, way too frou-frou for my tastes. Plus, I imagine it's heinously expensive. My fiance and I made our own invitations for fairly cheap, and sent them out this week, and I think they look gorgeous! A little DIY, and you can get something personal and elegant, without paying through the nose for it.
1damn, it's good to be matthew and namiko!
those are all very pretty and fun! we just sent out first communion invitations for our youngest daughter. they have a little bow that ties at the top, with a charm attached. we paid extra (.25 i think) to have this done by the invitation company, i didn't want to worry about how they were tied.
the postage for the invitations ended up being more than what had been quoted, because of the bow and charm. apparently these have to be hand canceled. anyway, something to factor in when choosing invitations
2oh, these are all so gorgeous...
3Pretty, but outrageously expensive, I would think... esp. for something that most people trash
4Very lovely.
5When I got married we had a destination wedding, so unique invitations were VERY important to me - they set the tone for the entire event. I think these invitations are absolutely gorgeous, and I know by experience that if invitations are important to you you can always cut a few dollars somewhere else.
6I don't find her work particularly innovative at all--anyone with a teaspoon of artistic ability could easily make all of these designs in photoshop in about ten minutes. A quick trip to your local printers and you're done; for less than a tenth of the cost, I imagine
