Don't Be Afraid to Plant a Lot in a Small Space
If you have limited space, try planting a variety of vegetables and herbs in one space. You don't really need more than one zucchini plant, anyway (unless you're planning on feeding the whole block!). For maximum use of space, combine climbing vegetables (such as peas or pole beans) in the same space as spreading, bushy vegetables. Tomato plants and squash can also vine out onto the ground or a deck space, which saves container space.
