The Anthropologie One-Lump-or-Two Lamp ($198) is quite cute in a British country cottage way, and I adore its espresso cup finial. But, I'd say it's a tad overpriced for a table lamp that looks so crafty, and that doesn't come with a shade. Luckily, there's a more affordable alternative that can be customized to fit your color scheme. To see it, read more.
Etsy seller Vintage Renaissance hand-crafts these Tea Set Lamps ($100) from vintage dishes so that each one is unique. You can choose your preferred color of Krylon spray paint for the base to personalize the lamp. Unfortunately, the shade is not included. I can see this lamp looking really cool with the right palette and a not-so-country-bumpkin shade. Personally, I'd go with a glossy white base and perhaps a tall, black, silk drum shade.

I do love these lamps. I wish the less expensive one had a teacup finial on the top like the Anthropologie one does.
1What?! Anthropologie has expensive lamps? And they might be overpriced?! No way!
2Oh, that is so cute!
3Kimpossible: You can buy finials at places like Home Depot, and just glue something on top. Maybe something from a child's tea set?
This is not my style. What room would something like this look good in? It is a cute idea, but doesn't seem very practical to me.
4true about the finials.
I'm picturing it in a large kitchen at a desk area, or on a buffet in a dining room. Or for a study/library/sitting room, particularly a woman's study/library/sitting room.
5oh also if I'm going to spend 100.00 on a lamp I'd prefer it already have the finial on top that I want. But I can also see this is a fun DIY project. Making lamps really aren't that difficult. Finding old teacups at antique stores etc. and building the lamp could be alot of fun, and a great way to express your creativity.
6I hate it.
7I LOVE IT.
8Not my style. Cute idea though.
9I'm not a fan.
10This month's Country Living magasine features the same kinda lamp.. with a diy piece..
11Pottery Barn kids had one similar to the anthro one- not as great, but cheaper. This is all I could find on their site now: http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/lg185/index.cfm?pkey=ctable-floor-lamps|k
12So mad hatter, I love it! I want to make my own for my tea-obsessed friend
