Rugs are hard. They can pull a room together, but finding the right one can be difficult. I've seen a lot of people go for a basic sisal rug, but that can get a little boring. That's why I'm digging this Pottery Barn Pixel Crewel Rug ($149, reduced from $295). It has a very neutral palette (ivory and khaki) so it coordinates with most, if not all, colors. But it also has an interesting yet subtle pattern that offers a little something more than your bare bones natural fiber rug. The crewel design spans many styles and is very versatile, and while it does reference traditional Kilim rugs, its pixel pattern offers a contemporary, tech-y edge. It's the new neutral.

I LOVE it! If only I had a place to put it, I would be all over it.
1What is it made of? (Some sort of recycled something would be nice...) I've done neutrals for so long, I am ready for some color. Nice design, though.
2Pass.
