As you can tell from my recent paint job, I'm really loving grays with blue/purple undertones. I guess I'd consider it a mix of sapphire, amethyst, and slate. I went for a big dose of the hue with Benjamin Moore's Amethyst Shadow on my walls, but I wouldn't mind bringing home some more of the color. So, I decided to scout out my favorite shops for this latest color pick. The shade turned up on everything from vases and bowls to bedding and rugs, and even furniture and lighting. 3Lovely colour, just a little too blue for me. (I tend towards greens instead of blues.) I just picked up a Benjamin Moore colour called "Smoked Oyster" for our bedroom. To my eyes its warm grey, with pinkish undertones, but it can actually look a slight bit purple in certain light. Our bedroom is mostly black and white, and its a very bright room, so I'm hoping this will make it a little cozier and not as jarring in the morning. (Can you tell I'm not a morning person?)
