Paper lanterns are the epitome of cheap/chic. A basic lantern will cost you under 10 bucks, while something a little more high-tech like these solar powered ones go for $29. They're totally affordable but also timeless and high in style. You really can't go wrong with paper lanterns, regardless of your budget. Do you own any?

I used to own about 10 or so when I was a student.
They are the perfect cheap lampshade for ceiling lights rather than having an exposed wired bulb dangling from the ceiling! You can also get different colours or patterns. I think the plain white paper ones I picked up for about £1. Obviously they aren't the classiest but they're perfect for what I used them for.
I used to have some in college, but not anymore. I might bring that back...
Nope, for me BBQs only for these...
No, and it's not that I don't like them.. they're just not for me.
I bought 100 of them for my beach wedding in blues, greens, tan and off white. We had a huge tent out on the beach and the strung these up underneath they were beautiful. I have no idea what happened to them when they took the tent down.
I've got a set of three oval-shaped ones, hung at varied heights in a little cluster by my bed. Love 'em!
I've had some, and I'd use them again. I don't have any just now, though.
Sounds stunning, macgirl! I love using them outdoors.
I have a couple of colorful Crate & Barrel ones that I like to hang on my deck in the summer.
I'd love some fairy lights
I have one of the paper lanterns in the shape of a star. I want more for my outdoor wedding reception.
I need some of them for my wedding.
there is a store in Laredo or Mcallen?
