Ballard Designs is hit or miss, but the new Lily Tray Table ($159) is a winner. The tray table folds up, so you can hang it when it's not in use, making it ideal for small studios. But it's no TV-dinner tray. I adore its cheerful garden-bloom accents surrounding the rim of the tray and, of course, it's mirrored tray. Isn't it charming? I mean . . . check out those dainty tripod legs. Of course, you don't have to use it for serving; you can also try one of my eight alternative uses for serving trays.
