If you do any amount of cooking at your house, you know how dirty your stovetop can get. Do you make an effort to clean it regularly? Or are you more lax about it?

I clean it off with a rag everytime I cook - sometimes when I don't even cook! But I give it good elbow grease once a week when I do my mega-clean.
1Mine is not very clean, honestly.
2I have an electric stove and I can't get underneath the damn spiral things to clean food that's dripped down there.
I'm not a very good house keeper.
Every evening, I life the stove top and clean other the burners. I don't like stuff to continue to build - I hate nasty stove tops.
3Every time I cook of course!!
4I do a daily wipe down, but I take everything apart and really scrub it every other week...unless I cook something really messy. I don't like it to be visably dirty.
5Every time I cook. It's induction so it's really easy to clean.
6It gets cleaned everytime I cook.
7Nearly every time I cook.
8It gets cleaned about 3-4 times a week. It depends on if it is my turn to do dishes and tidy the kitchen. My husband ignores it when it is his turn. It is like cleaning the stove is a foreign concept to him. He never remembers.

10Hey foxie -- did you know that you can just gently pull the spiral heating elements out of their plug? That way you can clean off the element, as well as any crud that falls underneath.
I clean every time I cook. You have to in order to keep the people you're feeding from getting sick! Unfortunately I'm in a rental right now and the last tenants weren't so diligent, so there's some muck on one of the burners that's never, ever coming up.
11LOL kia... my husband too. Must be something about the Y chromosome!
12We clean it every night after dishes, and then on Sundays' my hubby does a stainless steel special clean and cleans the stove top with it. it seems to get dirty so quickly
13I didn't know that! I can kinda tilt them up, but it seems like they resist and my hand gets scraped up.
14Just pull straight up though? I'll have to try that. =)
my stove is black which shows every little piece of dust so I have to clean it every few days.
15I clean it up if it's a messy "cook", but I clean it well every weekend, or if I'm in the kitchen cleaning mood during the week.
16Every time I cook... I can't stand having bits of burnt food on my stove. I even clean my bf's when I go over because I have clean issues...
17I have a glass cooktop, which looks pretty gross pretty easily. So yeah, I clean it a lot.
18Almost everyday.
19I at least wipe it down every time I cook.
20I clean it whenever I do dishes. But when DH does the dishes, he conveniently forgets to wipe the stovetop. Lol
21Everyday. I'm in charge of cleaning the kitchen - and the cooks are quite messy!
22I keep it clean all the time! I have a cooktop so it's pretty easy to clean after each use. 'Tho I'm pretty anal about keeping the kitchen spotless at all times!
23This is one area that needs OCD cleaning!
