As much as I try to resist letting my pup on the bed at night, I always seem to allow her up for a little bit. If I could resist, I'd definitely have an easier time keeping my duvet cover dog-hair free. What do you do at your home?

The kitties sleep on the bed, but not the 80+ lb dog
1i love my cat but my bedspread is dark, kitty is light so bed is off limits! he's allowed on other furniture except tables and counter tops --we train our animals well
2My cat sleeps at the foot of my bed. Doesn't bother me. Now if she tried to sleep at my shoulders or near my head, I'd kick her out. And I've never let a dog sleep on the bed.
3i love snuggling with my big dog on the bed...i can't help it!
4my dog sleeps with my kid and has for years but i only let him into my bed occasionally
5My cat sleeps on the bed. Cuteness definitely overrides the pet hair factor!
Hey fantstiche - how did you train your cat to stay off tables? I have for the most part, but mine gets up every once in awhile and it bothers me to no end!
6My dog sleeps with us every night. He does have really short hair and doesn't shed much, so I'm lucky in that way.
7The cute has definitely won so far, but not for much longer, I think. Our kitten has been walking over us at night, which hasn't been a problem, except that she's getting heavier and braver, and I keep waking up to a kitten stepping on my head. The fur on the bed wouldn't be a problem for me, I just don't want to be stepped on anymore.
8my cat can go wherever she wants, my german short haired pointer can be on the bed when I am - i love the feeling of her lying next to me : )
9I sleep with two chihuahuas EVERY night. They would be heartbroken if they didn't get to sleep with the BF and me. Seriously.
10What??!! Let that spoiled little Shar-Pei of mine have my bed too? NO WAY! He already owns ALL of the sofas but the bed?? No. Absolutely not. The bed....is MINE!
; o )
11Yep both my cats are allowed on my bed.
I wash them and use a lint remover if need
be, not that hard.
12Eegor (our dog) isn't allowed to sleep on our bed during the night... he goes into his house (crate), but if we're on the bed watching TV or just cuddling, he's definitely allowed on it with us :]
13Of course they are allowed on the bed. I'd say the cats sleep next to me but no, they sleep ON me all night.
14B & J both start the night on the bed, but B ends up on the floor beside me by the time I wake up. I am seriously considering a California king bed so I can have more room!!
15Our dog doesn't shed, so no hair issues. The only problem is that our bed is a little small for the three of us ... I don't know how a 10-pound dog can take up so much room!
16No....He has a really nice doggie bed of his own and he loves it.
I have a huge four poster bed that's up high up off the floor so he wouldn't be able to get up there by himself anyway.I love my baby with all of my heart, but my bedding costs way too much to let him lay all over it.
17I don't let my cat sleep in my bed. She allows me to sleep in hers.
18Our beagle never sleeps on our bed. He has a very nice bed of his own that he happily goes to when he decides he's ready to sleep (usually an hour before we are!). We have really nice bedding and I like it super clean and fresh, and a dog would just mess that up!
19He's allowed on the couch though... He has a blanket that he lounges on to minimize dog hair sticking to the upholstery (so we don't have to vacuum the couch every time someone is coming over).
Chaco runs the house of course. He lays at the bottom of the bed if we're watching t.v. He sleeps in his own bed all night then around 6:00 a.m. he jumps in our bed. All 96 pounds! Sometimes he even snores! We love him anyway. He's our kid.
20I love my dog but he's got long fur, sometimes fleas, and he's certainly not the cleanest creature in the world. He knows the furniture is for people, and he's got his own bed.
21My cat sleeps on my bed. He sleeps at the foot of the bed to the side of me. For about 3 months, he tried to sleep between my feet but I think he eventually figured out that I toss and turn a lot!
22Our pets are allowed to sleep on our bed at times. The only reason we *try* to discourage it is because the dog hogs up most of it and the cat wakes us up too early by stepping on us. So we keep the cat out on most nights and as for the dog, if she has that poor puppy dog look, then we let her stay. We have a smaller blanket on top of ours and point her to it to try to keep the hair in that area. But truthfully, we hardly even see pet hair anymore. They are there, but it doesn't bother us.
23My dog sleeps with me. She doesn't shed and she sleeps under the covers, usually with her head on a pillow and is a great furry heating pad.
24Of course...my two cats sleep on my bed every night. One sleeps up by my head, the other at the bottom of the bed. I love snuggling with them.
25I said other bc while he's not allowed on the bed, he's allowed on other furniture and if we're travelling or somewhere else, he sleeps in bed with me/us. It's only out bed at home he's not allowed on. He sleeps in his great, with his bed and blankies. He loves it
26love the rooms color and yea i keep my lil maltese at the bed room but not at the bed
27Yes, my cat thinks he's human. Seriously.
28Not that much of a pet-in-the-bed person, but it does happen from time to time.
29Yes, I can't bear to leave my dog sleeping on the floor when he really wants to sleep with me. It is a bad habit, but I really can't help it
30My cats allow *me* to sleep in the bed with them. Sure, there's fur and snagged comforters, but life is short, snuggle time with kitties is to be treasured.
31My chihuahua CANNOT sleep at night anywhere, EXCEPT with me in my bed.
32He's my little snuggly furkid....
No the cat sleeps on the floor and so does the dog. The fur is killing me.
33My dog is a havanese, they dont shed. so he sleeps in my bed every night
34My golden is only allowed on a piece of furniture if he's invited. With the bed, he knows he can hop up in the morning when one of us says "come up" and pats the bed. For some reason, those two things (the words plus the pat) have to happen or he doesn't feel that he has gotten the invite. It's kind of cute.
35I'm with Lawchick. The kittehs come and go as they please, but unfortunately the 113lb Great Dane won't fit between me and my husband (and sometimes toddler) in a queen sized bed.
