. . . would you hang this Red Pagoda Chandelier ($1,750) in your home? The red-orange semi-gloss paint would certainly punctuate any room, and its faux bamboo frame has a wonderful Chinoiserie style. But, as with most things, this chandelier is not for everyone. What do you think?

I love red, love bamboo, and my design scheme is asian modern..but this piece...it just looks...plastic-y. (It reminds me of the Erector Toy Sets back in the day...am I aging myself here? lol) I don't care for the exposed bulbs the way they are in this particular piece. Some chandeliers pull it off, just not this one, not for me.

9I've seen coral-y colored BAROQUE inspired chandeliers that were beautiful and modern, but this thing is a disaster.
What were they thinking mixing round ball light bulbs with bamboo?! It looks cheap.
