For some reason, I've never been able to stand my holiday decorations once the New Year's ball has dropped. But I know many people leave their trees and other decorations up until the end of January, or even into February. How about you?

I like to pack mine up just after Jan 1.
i just did yesterday!!! all packed up!
The weekend after New Year's Day, everything comes down. Otherwise, I Fear they may stay up until next year! lol
I took them down on New Year's Eve. My family has always lived by the saying that it's bad luck to have your Christmas tree still up in the New Year.
I take my tree down after the Epiphany (January 6, the holiday celebrating the arrival of the Magi), which is the traditional 12th day of Christmas.
I usually wait until Epiphany also, this year it wasn't until the 10th though because I didn't feel like doing it in the middle of the week.
I take them down right at the start of the new year. I'm about to start decorating for Valentine's day.
We still have the snowflakes we made and NYE decorations that were hanging up. We like them so they stay until we hate them.
I finally managed to put everything away yesterday....12 days late. XDDD
Ummm my tree is still up. I am being lazy. This week it must come down!
Nope I put everything away 2 weeks ago....
Nope, they've been down since New Year's day.
Our family tradition is that the decorations must be down by Jan. 6. This is based on a folk belief that it's bad luck to have them up any later.
Wow I love those ornaments in the photo. The 10th is OK to take down the tree this year, since the 11th was the 1st Sunday in Ordinary Time.
No, I packed them last weekend
Been gone since NYs day...
I just took mine down this weekend. I was a machine, tree and mantle and all other decorations in like 3 or 4 hours.. machine I tell you.
I love having it around, but it takes up a ton of room, and I was in the "cleaning" mood.
I took everything down the weekend after New Year's except for the paper snowflakes I have hanging in my windows. I don't want to take them down just yet.
I am with HaterTot
I have a huge snowman collection, so I leave all but the most "Christmassy" of them up...till usually the end of Feb, or the fist part of March. I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where it is winter till April! I also have a couple of crystal snowflakes that I leave hanging in the window.
