A dress form can be a quirky design accessory, and if you're crafty, it's helpful too. I just bought this 1920s-era dress form from a friend, and I am absolutely in love with it. If you don't have room for an actual dress form, you can get the next best thing with Ballard Designs Laundry Room Prints ($49-89). Whether it's for sewing or just for show, do you own a dress form?

My mom had one years ago. I've been looking for one for a while know. I usually walk around the garment district here in NYC in case I come across any discarded ones that are still in good shape. I like the old vintage looking ones. Not really into the modern ones. Back when Chelsea was all factories they were tossed daily, not anymore.
1I love these and would totally decorate with one.
2I have one, I knit and sell my items on Etsy.com, so I use mine to model my items. It also makes a nice decorate piece in my home when I'm not using it.
3*decorative* piece...
4I do and I use it to display my old tutus
5I would love to have one! Though, I've never been able to find one for a decent price.
6Whoa, what happened to my comment? I was trying to say I just changed my pic to show my dress form, I bought it on eBay for about $50 which included shipping.
8Dress forms have a certain charm.
9not my thing
10unless I found a super cool metal/wire vintage one
Not for me.
11i've always wanted one but thought the shape might scare me if i saw it out of the corner of my eye in the middle of the night or coming home! i have considered a dress form shaped wall decal recently, like this one:
