When January temperatures dip below zero, sometimes it's hard to get your vehicle started, especially if you keep it outside. Keeping your car in a garage overnight is often your best bet for ensuring it will start easily in the morning. Do you keep your car in a garage at your home?

omg I wish I had a garage for my car! I absolutely hate scraping all the snow and ice off in the winter and where I am the winters are absolutely horrible and long.
crys, you sound like a new englander! our winters are brutal, and i hate having to clean off my car as well. the only thing i hate more than that, is stepping to the cold cold car to start it up.
What about," I have a garage, but it's so full of junk that we'll never get a car in there?"
I park my car in our garage...but it's more to protect it from the desert heat in the summer than the cold. I've burnt myself with a hot seat belt one too many times!
My garage is basically storage at this point. I don't think I ever parked my car in the garage.
We have too much stuff in our garage to park the car in there so it sits outside covered in snow. When it gets really cold, we just plug in the engine block heater overnight and the car starts up fine in the morning.
Thankfully, I have a garage at home!
This is the first time I've ever had a garage and I am soooo happy. Granted, the south doesn't have brutal winters, but we do have the occasional icy windshield and 'can't-get-the-door-open' mornings. Yay for my garage!
LOl at CoralAmber, was just gonna say the same thing!
My husband is from Washington where everyone parks in their garage because of the weather. We currently live in California, where I'm from, and where people almost exclusively use their garages for storage. When we bought a house we argued over where to park. He won, but we're the only people on our street who park inside.
Ha! CoralAmber, that's actually the state of my garage as well!
I think that car in the foreground is my car! It's almost the exact shade of blue, at least. But mine's never had that much snow on it ... darned mild N.C. winters.
We've never had a garage but I'd love one ... more for storage than anything else!
yes i do, but i'm incrediby spoiled. i still live with the parents and my mom and i both park in the garage with my dad parking in the driveway behind me, far enough down though that i can still get out. at some point he got tired of me complaining about scraping my car every day in the winter haha.
The house my husband and I currently live in doesn't have a garage, but before I got married my parent's house had one, but we never used it to store the cars... my Dad always took it over with all of his tools/toys. Go figure!
I do not have a garage, some day I will when I am a homeowner!
I live in Central Texas so we don't have brutal winters at all, but I still really want to own a home with a garage.
hmm...no garage + michigan winter = NOT fun...but i'm moving to los angeles soon so bye bye snow, ice and scraping my car for 15 min in the morning before heading out to class...
Living in Northeast Texas, we don't get snow often (usually every few years) but do get cold winter temperatures with occasional sleet and sometimes hail. We don't have a garage, but it would be SO nice to have one.
I have a garage, but it's my gym! My truck has an engine block heater, kind of a necessity here in Montana.
Both of our cars are parked in our garage all year long. It's actually more important in the Summer here than it is in the Winter.
Thankfully it doesn't snow in my country!
nope, no garage, but it is getting bad enough, that we are talking about building one!!We have put so much into this home, we are not leaving!
I would love to have garage parking, but right now, it's not in our budget.
there are so many things we love about our new(ish) house--a basement is great, the layout is wonderful but living in Chicago, nothing beats having your own attached garage. We thank dog every snowy day for it.
Where's the "No, I don't keep my car in the garage" option?
I live in Central Texas. The only time I would consider sticking my car in my garage is when hail is forecasted.
Yes, especially if there is inclement weather, my dear MINI goes in the garage.
I wish I had a garage - I *hate* scraping my car every morning!!!
