Shutters Hotel on the Beach Gwyneth's favorite place to stay in LA. Renowned interior designer Michael S. Smith gave the guest rooms a face-lift in 2005, updating each room with an in-room reading library, decorative objects with a worldly, residential feel, and luxe textiles and furnishings. It's a little heavy on the white, soft blue, and yellow, but I guess that's what a lot of people expect with an ocean view.
