Pro skater Chad Knight has made his bed, and now he's gonna profit from it. His Shred Bed (inquire for price) features a headboard and footboard made of skateboards. It seems like skateboards are everywhere in the design world these days (see here and here). Would you sleep in a Shred Bed?

What's up with the mattress? Yuck. It's cute I guess for a little kid.
1It looks like something Extreme Home Makeover would put in their awful theme bedrooms.

9The skateboard concept is great, but I think the frame looks too plain and squared off, which doesn't go with the headboard and foot-board. Maybe if the corners were rounded off it'd look better.

13I agree, it's probably ok for kids but the mattress is ugly and the wood should be painted and have some life or something.
14It isn't *too* bad, since the boards are unpainted. But it looks like it was made out of tongue depressors.
