The other week, I asked you what projects you were working on, and I've got to say, you are all some busy bees. While some of you are painting rooms, stripping cabinets, and arranging home offices, I told you that I was going to reupholster a chair that I found for $2.50 at a flea market. Here's what the chair looked like before I switched out the fabric.
To see how it looks after I reupholstered it, read more.
I used Amy Butler Nigella fabric for the chair. This project took a little more time than I expected, since the back rest had a ton of staples in it. However, I'd gladly reupholster more flea market chairs in the future. I think the difference is really inspiring, and the monetary investment was so small: between the fabric and chair, I spent less than $10. Now that's certainly a way to go beautiful on a budget.

Great transformation!
1it's adorable...great work!
2Great fabric!
3I love that rug!
4LOVE the print...I just used the same fabric in a diff color. I think you should go back and strip the wood and give it a high gloss black or silver finish--would be such a statement piece!
5I really didn't think the chair was tacky before(maybe the picture doesn't do it justice), but the new fabric is very nice. I love Amy Butler, she has the coolest fabrics in the prettiest colors!
6Nice job! I would love to see you guys do or link to a tutorial on re-upholstoring chairs, I've got three just waiting for a makeover.

Let me know if that helps!
8That fabric looks great with the wooden frame, which was totally wasted with the last upholstery. Nice work.
9Is the pattern a little off center?
10Melinda 19, the pattern repeats in a close proximity, so I went with the placement of the fabric the way it was. It was personal preference, too, I suppose. I love the clusters of flowers more than the hourglass shape, so I wanted to highlight them.
11NICE
12LOVE I,T
