Many of you were intrigued by my definition of radiant floor heating, but you wanted to find out more about how it worked. Instead of trying to explain the concept abstractly, I thought I'd show you an explanation. I know that when I first heard about radiant floor heating, it seemed a little confusing. When I saw it installed, though, all of the pieces clicked into place.

1If there was a way of installing this without ripping up our original 1930's hardwood floors, I'd do it in a flash as my feet are always cold!
2So I have no idea how hot she had it turned up, but a woman I know had this type of heating. It slighly melted a rubbermade container near her bird's cage on the floor. Well, the toxins killed the bird from the fumes. (Birds are very fragile when it comes to air toxins). She placed her other bird in a different cage at the same place, and the same thing happened. She didn't realize until she moved out.
