It's not very often that we see such a wealth of pink outside of the bedroom of school girl. But, a pretty-in-pink look can be achieved with sophistication without screaming "fairy princess." The key is to steer clear of overly feminine patterns, and pick up your pinks from a particular element, such as a rug. Here, the walls, curtains, and pillows echo the mauve tones of this one-of-a-kind kilim rug, and its terracotta tones are picked up by other accents such as the coral chair and bowl. Pattern is left mostly to the rug, and modern shapes and furnishings give the room a mature edge. Perhaps pink isn't for you, but focusing on one key element is a fool-proof living room decorating idea for any interior.

It's pretty, but I don't think I could live with it.
1You know maybe if you switched the mauve out for a brown/gray or an off white color... then I think I could live with it.
2There is too much pink in this room, and I don't like that the fireplace is pink, too.
3im a pink fanatic! I love it
4its gorgeous!! im in love with the room!!!
5It's too much pink for me to live with, but if it was a room in a boutique hotel I would LOVE to stay there!
6I agree 100% with oneprettything. it would be lovely for a weekend away alone in some girly hotel room but I would not want to live in this room - too much pink and the pink is too dull for me, not a vibrant enough shade.
7I love it - but my husband would have a fit
