Casa Verde: A Handmade Home Gets Some TLC
Last year, I told you about my brother's
handmade home, which he built in an
eco fashion for a surprisingly small amount of money. However, nothing much had been done with the home's interior. This year, he and his wife made a lot of interior changes in the home to spruce it up. To see what this previously unfinished home looks like now, check out the slideshow.

May I ask what a handmade house is? Do you mean built by the owner without contractors? Or no electric saws are used? I have seen a lot of houses built and they are all very dependent on hands!
1Do they live there year round or is this vacation house? I think I'd be a bit too prissy for no running water/electricity year round!
2Hi SLDC, I used this term to originally describe his home, meaning that everything was "homemade": made by him with no contractors. And yes, there were lots of hands involved, and there are on every home!
Oh, and it's a vacation home. They use it for Summer weekends.
