We finally got power back on today, hooray! The refrigerator was disgusting, despite our best efforts with dry ice - I'm sure we're not alone in having to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food. We're glad to have survived safe and sound, inconveniences and all.

I live in Ohio so it seems odd to say that I was affected by Ike. We had a day of high wind. We were lucky to not have anything severe. Just a few limbs down, a couple shingles ripped off and the railing on our back steps was loosened. We did lose power for a day or so, but felt lucky that it came back on when it did.
