I consider myself "a creative," but it simply baffles me how inventive Danny Seo is. He seems to just ooze creativity, always devising original ways to decorate his digs in style without paying a price tag for it. His latest is achievement is a pillow he decorated with safety pins, of all things. He writes:
I stopped by the store to pick up the basic essentials and was looking at a package of 275 mixed gold and silver safety pins. They were on sale for $3 and I thought, could you do something creative with them?
To see what Danny Seo did to transform this plain mossy green throw pillow into something out of the ordinary, read more.
He just kept pinning away with a mix of gold and silver pins to create a cheerful starburst pattern! Do you like it?

I think it looks kind of tacky....and how horrible would that be if one of the pins cam undone and stabbed you in the face!!!
1oops *came, why can't you edit your comments??
2It's very creative, and I think its pretty, but to me it LOOKS like it was made out of safety pins, which takes away some of its charm.

4sorry double post!
5Agree with luvhouse. It's pretty, but you can tell what it is.
6Stupid.
7looks like some cheesy crafty thing i would have thought was amazing when I was 5 years old. doesn't say art to me at all. not to mention the (lack of) comfort factor.
8That thing is disgusting.
9Ouch!
10Not a fan...I was hoping he'd covered the whole face of the pillow and made some neat scale effect or something. I guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend.
11wow..i dont want to be mean but i agree with most..i dont like it.
maybe a diffrent colored pillow...that green looks like vomit.
if it were a project i had to do i would
12add some diffrent colored beads to the pins...that way it doesnt look like its just a bunch a pins on a pillow.
i think the design is nice, but maybe reupholster the fabric? and ... use something besides safety pins? i agree with beram--what if one came out and stabbed you??
13I agree with beram. The whole gold and silver safety pin thing just doesn't do it. And you couldn't really use the pillow except for decoration. Safety pins are not very safe in this situation.
14Well, I'll go against the grain and say that I think that pillow is very cool. Would I put it in my house? Not so much, but were I to see it in someone else's, it would get compliments, for sure. Isn't the point to know that it's been made with safety pins? Sort of a beauty in the ordinary, kind of thing? I agree Lzis that covering the whole thing with safety pins would add to the look, though.
15i didn't really expect that as the outcome! it looks pretty neat, but i agree about the potential safety hazard.
