It might work if just the top or headboard were painted, but this just looks random and unfinished.

I'm with Sun_Sun. I would go crazy only having half the bed painted. It's either all painted or all bare, no in between. I couldn't handle it. I'd be going to the store to find the white they painted it and painting the rest of it! I'm not a huge fan of four-poster beds either.

I've seen worse. This isn't for me, but it is okay.

I like it, but I swear sleeping in that bed would stress me out. I would just dream about painting that one post white.

That is so weird! Why would they photograph it and show the whole world? That is definitely not innovative or artsy in my book.

I just don't get it. I would want to paint the rest to make it match!

Looks like an unfinished project to me.

If I remember correctly, the article/blurb that came with that photo was that you could try out a new color for furniture by just painting a section and seeing how it looks in the room.

Nevermind, it was actually supposed to stay like that. They were "experimenting" with color.

I the painted headboard but I'm not too keen on the half-painted thing overall. I would have left that post [and all except the headboard] white.

I wouldn't mind the headboard not being painted if that 4th post was painted... the way it is now just looks odd. But if that 4th post was painted white and the headboard left unpainted that wouldn't be so bad.

I think it is sleek and modern.
