My husband wanted to hang a strip or two of it in the garage but he changed his mind after he thought about it.

We dont' get a lot of flies around here for some odd reason. We get more animals. My dad's friend hung a few in his home office though and it creeped me out. It looked as if he hadn't changed them in months!

I ran straight into one of these when i was a little girl...... traumatized since then.

Oh Hell No! These are gross and I'm always afraid they are going to fall on me.

I used them once in an apartment with a fly problem. I just hung them high up in inconspicuous areas. It totally worked and didn't bother me

I don't use them. My fly killing remedy is Windex/401/whatever spray bottle I can get my hands on. I've even used hairspray to kill the little varmints.

*Gag* hell no. I remember how disgusting fly tape was when my parents used to put them in their house. My fly killing technique is a fly swatter, afterwards a cleaner to clean up. Though at one time my husband had smacked a fly, but it ended up being smacked into his father's head.

I've never used one but I do remember my Dad keeping one in the garage.

eeww- i get that it's a good thing to have around to keep flies from being around but i have BAD BAD memories from being at camp and seeing the stuff all over the place. it just makes me think that stuff will fall from it or that it's gooey - ugh! i'm still getting chills from that tape

I would never use them in a HOUSE but I used to hang them in the barn all the time when I owned horses.

whatever! i live in an old apartment house in florida and i would TOTALLY have some fly tape up in some hidden places but i dont even know where to find it. i get these miniature drain flies and it just makes me feel like a nasty environmentalist pouring bleach down the drain everyday. this was my maintenance man's suggestion

but in other structures (like julieulie's barn) they're a great idea

I feel bad for the flies. I have one hanging, and the first fly that got stuck is still alive wiggling around. I'd rather swat them than starve them to death.
